Time stands still best in moments that look suspiciously like ordinary life.
- Brian Andreas
Things change so fast. And change is good, but right now the status quo is truly bliss. It's worth capturing, don't you think? Think about all the little things in your life that you love right. now. The chances that it's all the same in a year from now? Unlikely. This is a good reason to savor each day.
8:00 am: morning dog walk in moose pajamas, monster hoodie, and crocs (and headlamp).
8:45 am: Caleb and Andy have their morning cuddle while getting ready for the day.
10:00 am: Sleeping Andy goes in the stroller, Caleb goes in the rain coat, and off we go to the Building Museum (in the background).
11:15 am: Caleb is immersed at the light table at he Build Work Play exhibit.
1:20 pm: Dog walk to the pet store while Andy naps.
Yes I took a photo in the pet store of me trying my hardest to negotiate the narrow aisles of our in-town pet store with my dog and stroller combo. And of course there was another dog in there. Of course there was. So that photo didn't come out well...
2:20 pm: Andy's "hey therrrre ladieees" face. He's hilariously adorable in high-waisted pants.
3:20 pm: Pick up time!
4:00 pm: Playing on the playground at school with Emma.
5:45: The boys play on their own while I make dinner.
7:00 pm: Impromptu drinks on the deck with the neighbors (Teddy and Caleb are throwing Caleb's space toys off the deck into the back yard. Again.).
8:30 pm: Post-bath robot pajamas. Believe it or not in this photo, Caleb is tuckered and fell right to sleep.
It was a perfectly mundane Wednesday. And we're savoring it.
